A Regal Old Courthouse Wedding at Dekalb History Center Museum in Decatur, Georgia

Alyce Cobb (30 and an attorney) didn't listen to her father when he told her that he met a wonderful guy back home at church. After two years of talking about Dimeji Ogunsola (31 and an attorney), and enlisting other family and friends on his mission, Alyce's father finally convinced her to fly down to Atlanta to meet Dimeji. The pair instantly hit it off (it turns out that they even went to the same college and law school!) and dated long-distance for ten months before Dimeji surprised Alyce with a timeless Tacori engagement ring. Over the course of nine months, the couple planned a refined summer affair at Dekalb History Center Museum in Decatur, Georgia. The ceremony was held in the old superior court room of the Old Courthouse on the Square with an arrangement of tall blooming branches of purple denodrobium orchids as the couple's backdrop. "We fell in love with the beauty of our location," says Alyce. "We also loved the fact that getting married in a historic courthouse was a perfect venue for two attorneys!" A vibrant purple and fuchsia color palette popped against the ballroom's marble walls and formal silver candelabra centerpieces filled with roses lent an air of old-world sophistication. "One of my favorite television shows is Downtown Abbey and I wanted to recreate some of the regal feel of a formal dinner," says Alyce.
