A memorable menu was an absolute must for Blayre Miller (26 and a wedding cake designer and pastry chef) and Brandon Wright (24 and a restaurant general manager), who booked Riverdale Manor for their September nuptials. “We eat, sleep and breathe food and hospitality,” Blayre says. “Our goal was to incorporate bold colors, quirky elements and a bit of foodie flair.” The couple accomplished just that with an herb- and citrus-inspired palette and escort cards modeled off of vintage recipes. At the ceremony, the pair married in front of a white cross constructed by family members. “It was very sentimental,” Blayre says. Fresh herbs and an abundance of greenery filled Blayre’s trailing bouquet. For dessert, the bride baked a confection comprised of three distinct flavors: lemon-thyme blueberry, espresso cookie and toasted almond finished with the couple’s custom monogram and watercolor buttercream.
