A Relaxed Fall Celebration at The Dairy Barn in Fort Mill, South Carolina

Rachel Tolbert (29 and a nanny) and Braden Hanchey (32 and a social worker) didn't realize that they might like each other until everyone around them pointed out that they were in love—over a year after first meeting at a party. After three years of dating the pair talked about getting engaged but when Rachel broke her ankle, it shifted Braden's proposal plans. "He ended up proposing to me in the car," says Rachel. "He hid the box in a bag with stationery and told me he had picked up some stuff for me—when I went through the bag, I saw the box and immediately started crying!" The couple planned a relaxed fall celebration at The Dairy Barn in Fort Mill, South Carolina. An orange, navy and khaki color palette along with pumpkin, gourd and succulent accents enhanced the casual affair's seasonal feel. "The Dairy Barn just had a rustic, homey look that we fell in love with—especially with the original 1947 pine floors in the loft were the ceremony was performed," says Rachel. "We wanted everyone to be comfortable in what they were wearing so we didn't want anything to formal," says Rachel. "Our entire wedding party wore Converse sneakers!" Following the loft ceremony, guests enjoyed a comfort food cocktail hour with chicken fingers, barbecue sliders, macaroni and cheese and a variety of cupcakes.
