A Romantic Barn Wedding at McMenamins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse in Hillsboro, Oregon

Kristi and Matthew met through a mutual friend. "We immediately clicked, and bonded over our shared love of football (Go Pack!), traveling and french bulldog puppies," says Kristi. For their wedding at McManamins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse in Hillsboro, Oregon, the pair decided that less was more. "We knew that we had a limited budget, so we tried to be very smart about the costs up front. Matthew and I fell in love with our venue, and because it was already so beautiful and rustic, we didn’t have to spend a lot to 'pretty it up.'  I’ve always wanted a shabby-chic wedding, and the barn we got married in was the perfect backdrop. Once we found our venue, the wedding design and theme fell perfectly into place," she says. An array of sweet desserts, plenty of yard games (in case some guests didn't want to dance) and the overall relaxed feel of the day made everyone in attendance feel right at home.
