A Romantic Barn Wedding at Stonefields Estate in Beckwith, Ontario

The theme of Valentina De Grazia's romantic barn wedding to Didier Bien-Aime was "geometric and simplistic, with lots of greenery and many personalized touches." The ceremony took place inside a bright "open ceiling" room with an elegant white fireplace, which the couple draped with greenery and candles. Valentina created rustic wood signs with Bible verses to line the aisle. "As for the reception, our venue has whitewashed barnwood walls with beautiful exposed wood beams and three-foot ceilings with many beautiful chandeliers," Valentina says. "Our decorator draped white chiffon fabric from the center beams from the ceiling to the floor." Long banquet tables were positioned under the beams, while circular tables were spaced along the sides of the barn. Hand-dyed table runners, greenery, candles and flower arrangements of varying heights transformed the space for the evening. Valentina hand-made an acrylic seating chart hung from a copper frame, as well as various other decorations and signs. All décor fit the wedding's color palette of earthy neutral tones like champagnes, mauves and creams. Valentina wore a formfitting dress with a crepe material, and Didier sported a blue tuxedo with black sparkly loafers.
Our favorite #MakeTradition moment: As an untraditional decision, the bridesmaids carried flower hoops instead of bouquets. "The groomsmen also wore greenery circles instead of normal boutonnières," Valentina says.
