Shoes were strictly prohibited at this laid-back beach wedding! For their destination Tulum nuptials, Danielle Amedeo (34 and a voice teacher) and Jason Adler (34 and a financial analyst) wanted to reflect the simple, rustic beauty of the beach and honor the bright colors of Mexico. They dressed up Akiin Beach Club in Tulum, Mexico, with a palette of blush and aqua blues that looked beautiful against the sand and water, then mixed in rustic wooden furniture with greenery and pops of strawberry red. Danielle matched the palette with a blush-colored wedding dress. Danielle and Jason wanted their guests to feel important, so they wrote their entire ceremony themselves and made it interactive—each guest received maracas to make noise during the ceremony and in the celebration afterward. At their cocktail hour and reception, they served Mexican food, such as seviche, empanadas, lime soup and a salsa bar, as well as local cocktails (micheladas for him and strawberry margaritas for her). They also had a mariachi band perform, followed by a DJ who took over to get everyone onto the dance floor. Fresa Weddings helped Danielle and Jason pull off their perfect day, with Joseph Lin Photography there to capture every moment. See the pretty details, below.

The bridesmaids wore blush and neutral gowns to match the romantic, beachy theme, and the groomsmen dressed in gray pants and white suits with red and pink belts from Beltology. (Since the wedding took place on the sand, everyone went barefoot.)
Danielle and Jason had a traditional Jewish ceremony on the beach underneath a driftwood chuppah at Akiin Beach Club in Tulum, Mexico. Light wooden furniture with turquoise accents and greenery created a rustic, natural atmosphere.
The florals were completely dependent on whatever was local and available. Luckily, Danielle’s bouquet turned out completely gorgeous and fitting for the beachy theme: It had succulents blended with bright red ranunculus, blush tulips, roses and peonies.
Danielle wore an incredible blush wedding dress with a low V-neck and sequin accents trailing down the flowy, ethereal skirt. The Watters Soledad dress matched the wedding's romantic, beachy vibe.

Jason wore a gray linen suit from Louis Purple in New York, with a pink belt and strawberry red boutonniere. He and Danielle participated in the Jewish tradition of breaking the glass to make their marriage official—and they weren’t about to let the sand get in their way.
Hanging Red Flowers Blue Vases
Danielle and Jason set up a Mexican-inspired cocktail bar, with mason jars lined with spices and a pepper. Guests could choose to fill the mason jar cocktail glasses with micheladas or strawberry margaritas.

Dining tables and chairs in light wood, set up on the sand, had turquoise glasses, pops of pink and coral flowers, which added to Danielle and Jason’s rustic, casual reception vibe.
Simple Rose and Candle Beach Centerpieces
Danielle and Jason wanted their guests to taste all that the Yucatan had to offer, so they seated their guests at family-style tables to share in local dishes such as short rib mole, cochinita pibil, corn elote, rice and beans and more.
Draped Beach Reception With String Lights
Danielle and Jason’s dance floor was light and casual, set up on the beach under loose linen drapery and bistro lights. They had a DJ play the best of '90s hip-hop, '70s soul and the entire Michael Jackson catalog.
