A Romantic Bohemian Beach Wedding at the Jellyfish in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

With white sandy beaches in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, swaying palm trees and crystal blue seas providing the backdrop, Victoria Chae (27 and an auditor) and Kenneth Foster (28 and a member of the US Air Force) needed little in the way of decor to bring their vision for a romantic waterfront wedding to life. “We didn’t have a theme but tried to incorporate little things that were special to us,” Victoria says. “We’re both super easygoing, so as long as we liked it, we didn’t care to stick to one style.” The couple took advantage of the Jellfyfish restaurant’s breathtaking views by hosting the entire affair outdoors. After “I dos” in the sand, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed dinner on the ocean-facing terrace. Gilded candelabras, geometric terrariums, lush garlands and bouquets of soft white and purple flowers adorned wooden farm tables, achieving the ultimate balance of bohemian romance and casual elegance. A tip from Victoria: “Breathe! Take it one step at a time. You can plan all you want up to the actual date, but when it's the actual day of your wedding, relax and enjoy yourself. You’re getting married!” —Libby MacCarthy
