It was all about the elegance for Emily Scaros (30 and an exhibitions manager) and Robert Altman's (28 and a vice president at Deutsche Bank) classic wedding at Tappan Hill Mansion—a romantic, waterfront venue in Tarrytown, New York, with impressive views of the Hudson River. "The mansion is elegant and the ballroom felt intimate, which we really loved," Emily says of the space. "It also has a beautiful terrace, so it was the perfect setting." Since the two are fans of more classic details (think clean lines and muted flower arrangements), Emily and Robert used a romantic color scheme of ivory, green and pink for their formal fete on the river. Bridesmaids wore blush-colored Bill Levkoff dresses that perfectly matched the rose bouquets and pink bow ties worn by each groomsman. One detail we especially loved was Emily's A-line Anna Maier Couture wedding dress. "My favorite detail of that dress was the overlay," Emily says. "It ended in a lace train and came with a line of buttons down the back—it was the perfect, classic look I was going for." After exchanging vows in a traditional Jewish ceremony officiated by Rob's former professor and Emily's aunt, the newlyweds and their guests retreated inside for a night of dancing to live music, courtesy of the Frank Michaels Band. Aside from comfort food classics like mac and cheese and bite-size chicken and waffles, guests were even treated to the whiskey-loving couple's signature cocktail: the Altman Old-Fashioned. As for wedding day advice, Emily stresses the importance of not getting caught up in the details: "It's so easy to get stressed about the planning, but in the end everything works out. At the end of the day, you get to marry the love of your life surrounded by all your favorite people in the world."

Forever in Bloom florist created this lush ivory and blush-colored bouquet for the bride using hypericum berries and roses.
In search of a simple yet classic look, Emily found the perfect dress at Anna Maier Couture: an A-line, strapless style complete with an embroidered lace overlay. In keeping with the classic look, Robert wore a navy, custom-made suit by Tom James.
