A Romantic Fall Wedding at Hidden Pond in Kennebunkport, Maine
Riddy Hosser and Tim Quinney wed at the first and only venue they visited: Hidden Pond in Kennebunkport, Maine. "We didn't want to style our wedding to feel like we were anywhere else but there, so we tried to harp on a lot of the natural elements that surrounded the venue in September, like ferns, natural flowers and early autumnal tones," the couple says. The bride hand-lettered the paper goods—including table numbers, signs and paper cones for the petal toss—with flowing calligraphy in romantic colors. Flower arrangements comprised of local and seasonal fall flowers, and the bouquets were wrapped in silk ribbon. The tented reception maintained a neutral color palette with dusty-blue and copper accents. "I created menus that had each guest's name in brush calligraphy, which were sneakily color coded to let the servers know which guests had food allergies," Riddy says. "We added farm tables for our head table, and used a long silk runner with vintage brass taper holders, stone urns filled with flowers and fresh fruit as decoration."
Our favorite #MakeTradition Moment: "My bridal bouquet also incorporated my nana's wishbone pin, which was something most people didn't see, but it was such a special piece to have since she couldn't be there," Riddy says.
