A Romantic, Garden-Inspired Wedding at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, California

Since they both worked in creative fields, Marisa Newacheck (31 and an artist) and Kyle Newacheck (31 and a director) wanted to make sure the visuals at their wedding lived up to the garden-inspired theme. And through a beautiful palette filled with pinks, whites and lavender—decorating everything from the flower arrangements to the wedding party attire—the outdoor nuptials did just that. "Our wedding planner, Kat Keane, introduced us to Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, California, and it was romantic, rustic and gorgeous," Marisa says. They got married on an elevated platform covered with ivy, positioned underneath a large oak tree with lights that dangled from its branches. Guests sipped on seasonal cocktails of lavender-infused lemonade spritzers and raspberry rumbles before the tented reception, where pastel-colored floral centerpieces decorated dining tables marked with gold and white polka-dot numbers. Our favorite spot was the gorgeously decorated sweetheart table that had an oversize white gardenia backdrop, with various white candles, cherry blossom trees and an abundance of petals surrounding the romantic setup.
