A Romantic Garden Wedding at Private Residence in Phoenix, Arizona

Andrea Kuiken (28 and a physical therapist) and Adam Ethier (30 and a physical therapy aide and an EMT) filled their wedding with so much personality and style, it felt like walking into the couple’s home. And it almost was: They hosted their wedding at the home of Adam’s brother and sister-in-law in Phoenix, Arizona. “We knew we couldn’t pass that up, especially since that was where we got engaged,” Andrea says. The outdoor entertaining area inspired the romantic, garden atmosphere for the wedding, with hints of vintage in the baby’s breath incorporated in the bouquets, boutonnieres and angelic flower-girl crowns as well as in Andrea’s Maggie Sottero lace wedding dress. The couple wanted to include an important detail of their relationship into the reception: food trucks. “We loved trying different food trucks while we were dating, so we thought that would be a great way to bring our personalities into the reception,” Andrea says. “We really loved how our the food truck mixed gourmet with casual, and the guests loved it.” As a surprise later in the night, an ice cream truck rolled into the reception to hand out Ethier Ever After Ice Cream Sandwiches. “Using food trucks was something very different but something very ‘us’ that everybody loved,” the bride says. The personal touches to their wedding made everything mean so much more. “We did not have a planner or coordinator for our wedding, so that meant we did almost everything ourselves, which really showed our style,” the bride says. “Every part of the day was perfect, and I am so thankful for all my friends and family that made it our most special day.”
