A Romantic, Glam Fall Wedding at Arlington Hall in Dallas, Texas

Elise McCarthy (26 and an assistant buyer at Stanley Korshak Bridal) and Samuel (Sam) Smith (27 and a CPA) designed a flashy party that incorporated the rich colors of fall, including marsala, blush and metallics.

The couple wanted a wedding that was fun and seasonal, yet still elegant. Their bold color scheme could be seen throughout the décor, textured linens and floral arrangements. “It was important to me to have lush, wild bouquets,” Elise says. “Nothing cookie cutter.”

The bridesmaids wore nude, floor-length, strapless gowns. “I planned to have colorful flowers, so I wanted to make sure my girls wore a soft hue to make the bouquets pop,” Elise says. The reception hall was transformed with a mix of silver, gold and mercury glass candles and abundant blooms.

The couple’s event planner added lots of sparkle to the décor, even creating a white and gold leaf anniversary piñata, which served as an unconventional guest book for wedding guests to drop notes into. “We’re looking forward to opening it on our first anniversary,” Elise says.
