A Romantic Restaurant Wedding at Presidio Social Club in San Francisco, California

Lisa Osterling (35 and an investment professional) and Joe Fitzgerald (36 and a management consultant) met at a friend’s barbeque party and discovered their many similarities (skiing and their professions, just to name a few.) They established a two-year courtship and enjoyed each other’s company before they tied the knot. Joe wanted to propose to Lisa at the Marin Headlands, protected government property with a breathtaking backdrop of San Francisco’s Gold Gate Bridge. After climbing up a steep trail to get to the peak, the couple enjoyed an intimate picnic lunch where Joseph found the perfect opportunity to ask the question. Joe and Lisa had their wedding ceremony at St. Ignatius Church in San Francisco, one of the largest churches in San Francisco and also where the couple dedicated their time. The classic, romantic themed reception was held at The Presidio Social Club, where the couple was inspired by the old-world architecture. The flower arrangements, table linens and indoor-outdoor d?cor followed the color palette of gray, ivory, black and reds. “Joe and I were looking to throw the best and largest intimate dinner party of our lives, rather than a big nondescript party, so we wanted each guest to feel personally invited, welcomed and integral to the day,” says Lisa.

Wedding invitations were black, gray and white with a touch of red, reflecting the color palette for teh day. "Save-the-date and wedding invitations were designed by the bride, printed by All City Printing in San Francisco and finally assembled by the bride," says the couple.
Lisa carried a bouquet filled with red peonies and roses accented with greens. The bouquet was wrapped in a simple, white cloth.

"I wore an Amy Kuschel gown called "Kennedy," says Lisa. "Designed and hand-crafted in San Francisco, Kennedy is a graceful trumpet silhouette fabricated in raschel lace. The simply tailored Italian Silk Mikado banding accentuates a sweetheart neckline, natural waistline and hemline. Kennedy captures the perfect balance of charm and style."
"St. Ignatius Church's architecture is a mix of Italian Renaissance and Baroque elements, and its floor-plan follows that of ancient Roman basilicas," says Lisa. "One of the city's largest churches, its location on a hilltop as well as its twin spires and dome makes it a prominent San Francisco landmark."

"My Matron of Honor wore an Amsale floor-length gown called Charmeuse G686H in charcoal grey," says Lisa. "She wore a baroque pearl bracelet that we had given her the night before. The Best Man (Joe's brother) wore a traditional tuxedo. He wore cufflinks that we had given him the night before that were custom engraved with the Fitzgerald family crest."
