A Romantic Rooftop Wedding at The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills in California
For their romantic rooftop wedding, Olivia Tran and Phu Le drew inspiration from Japanese cherry blossoms. The delicate pink flower showed up everywhere from the sweetheart table to the ceremony arch. The remaining wedding décor was kept simple with acrylic details, greenery and soft flower arrangements—such as Olivia's bouquet of white flowers, like ranunculus, and blush astilbe. For the ceremony, Olivia wore a sleek white dress paired with red lips and wavy hair, while Phu opted for a dark navy-blue suit. They both changed outfits for the reception—Olivia chose a pale pink gown with sewn flower patches, and Phu complemented a dark red suit. Tall pink centerpieces rose above the neutral-colored dining tables and acrylic chairs, while a tiered wedding cake continued the cherry blossom theme. "The Japanese consider the cherry blossom to be a timeless metaphor for human existence," Olivia says. "Our honeymoon was also going to be in Tokyo, so being able to travel there after our wedding and experience the cherry blossoms reminded us of our special day."
Our favorite #MakeTradition Moment: The couple enjoyed presenting their mothers with roses to thank them for their love and support. "It was extremely emotional, and I'll never forget that moment," Olivia says.
