A Romantic Spring Wedding at Sea Palms Resort on St. Simons Island, Georgia

Chad Bauer (24 and an operations/sales manager) convinced Amanda Bauer (24 and an events planner) that they were headed to Savannah for the weekend to help a family friend/new photographer out by posing for some new photos for her portfolio. Halfway through the shoot, the couple headed over to the butterfly garden for a change of scenery, when "Marry Me" by Train started playing. "When I turned around, Chad was down on his knee and I couldn't believe it!" says Amanda. "At first he was silent, for what felt like an entire minute, and then he spoke the most beautiful words." After the pair spent the weekend celebrating, they began planning their elegant spring affair at Sea Palms Resort on St. Simons Island. "Both Chad and I grew up on St. Simons so it made sense for us to say our 'I Do's' where it all started," says Amanda. "We chose the resort because greenery was very important in my image of the wedding, as well as a private ceremony," Clusters of baby's breath and soft rose arrangements decorated the tented ceremony followed by a classic indoor reception. A pale pink and gray color palette set a romantic tone for Amanda and Chad's traditional affair and centerpieces of pale pink roses, sahara roses and baby's popped atop of the pale linens. "I had a Pinterest inspired wedding of my dreams!" says Amanda. "We had a decent amount of burlap and lace— not too much burlap to make it rustic, and just enough lace to add to the romance."
