Large arrangements of fuchsia and purple flowers were placed in classic blue willow Chinese vases, adding color and sophistication to the decor.
The ceremony was held in the late afternoon on the lawn at Thomas Fogarty Winery.
The wedding included two bridesmaids and a groomswoman. I wanted each to have a different dress, in one of the jewel-tone colors, Jennifer says. And I decided that each would have a unique bouquet with a different color theme to complement her dress.
The couple shared their first dance to Center of Gravity by Yo La Tengo.
Jennifer wore an organza strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline, a full-flounced skirt, and chapel train.
Eric proposed with a gorgeous, halo-set diamond ring. Jennifer chose an eternity-style wedding band, while Eric's band was a simple brushed style.
Eric and the groomsmen wore small, simple purple mum boutonnieres.
The elegantly simple table settings featured champagne tablecloths, navy napkins and clear bottles filled with single stems of peonies.
The centerpieces were small glass bottles filled with individual peony stems. My main request to the florist was to incorporate peonies, if possible, into my bouquet, Jennifer says. She warned that it might be too early in the season for peonies, so I was thrilled that she was able to get them after all!
The Vera Wang invitations featured a pocket folder for three inserts with information on the reception, accommodations, transportation and a reply card.
A string trio performed the ceremony music.
Each bridesmaid carried a jewel-tone bouquet that complemented her dress. A variety of blooms made up the bouquets, including roses, tulips, sweet peas and dahlias.
The favors were wrapped in colorful paper and placed on the napkins at each place setting.
Jennifer and Eric had a hard time deciding on a wedding cake flavor, so they chose to have multiple confections! Their cake table featured five different cakes, decorated in the deep jewel tones of the day.
Appetizers included prosciutto wrapped asparagus, seared ahi tuna on wonton crisps, filo tarts with brie, Thai chili tiger prawns and a cheese station.
The reception took place on an elevated covered pavilion.
Purple and magenta stock ranunculuses, anemones, tulips, garden roses, and lisianthuses were displayed in clear glass vases and hung on the aisle chairs.
Each bridesmaid carried her own unique bouquet--this one featured a lovely arrangement of stock, anemones, sweet peas and tulips
At the end of the celebration, the couple made their getaway through a tunnel of sparklers held aloft by their guests.
Large colorful centerpieces filled with ranunculuses, anemones, tulips, garden roses and stock decorated some of the tables.
The reception overlooked the lovely vineyard and vast rows of grapevines at Thomas Fogarty Winery.
Guests paused at a table filled with old family photos at the entrance to the reception area.
