A Romantic Vintage Wedding at Rembrandt Yard Art Gallery in Boulder, Colorado
Hillary Grady (26 and a graduate student in clinical psychology) and Jeremy Speckhals (25 and an attorney) met their senior year of high school through a mutual friend. Jeremy proposed on a reunion trip with a group of college friends in Vail, Colorado. “It was the last run of the day and Jeremy asked if we could take a quick break in the middle of the run and told our friends we would meet them at the bottom," Hilary says. "After our friends had left he pulled out rose petals, tea light candles (battery operated ones) and little bottles of champagne. He took his snowboard off and got down on one knee and proposed. And he was sneaky about it, too. He had all of those items hidden in his jacket the whole time. It was the perfect moment that we were able to share just between the two of us and then we were able to meet our friends at the bottom of the mountain to celebrate.” The couple exchanged vows in an outdoor ceremony at their alma mater before heading to Rembrandt Yard Art Gallery for a vintage-inspired reception. They worked with The European Flower Shop to create a gorgeous floral arrangements including garland that adorned the wedding arbor and was repurposed at the reception to frame the vintage dresser guest book table. Hillary and Jeremy used soft colors of light blue, peach, ivory and a little gold accents to add to their soft, romantic vibe. Inspired by her lace wedding dress, Hillary used lace overlays on the blue table linens and white vanities for an extra vintage feel. At the end of the night, the couple enjoyed a three-tier white buttercream chocolate, lemon and grand marnier cake decorated with roses and lamb’s ear before heading into the night with a fun sparkler exit.
