A Romantic Waterfront Wedding at Sooke Harbour House in Sooke, British Columbia

Jackie Powell and Jon Snell wanted to get married in a location that held a lot of memories for them and where they could also spend a full weekend. The couple live in Vancouver and met on Vancouver Island, where they attended college, so it was only natural for them to hold the wedding nearby at the Sooke Harbour House in British Columbia. The ceremony was held on the deck of Sooke Harbour House, surrounded by flowers and overlooking the gorgeous Pacific Ocean, followed by a tented reception also on site, with large star lights hanging above the white tables. Tall vases of baby's breath arranged by a Sea of Bloom added a soft, romantic touch to the all-white decor. A standout detail  was the food. "The menu was sourced from Sooke Harbour House's famous edible landscape with vegetables, herbs and flowers from the garden, meat from a local farmer and fish caught that day. They also designed our wedding cake, which was a rosemary chocolate cake with buttercream frosting and edible flowers. Both the rosemary and the flowers were from the garden next to our wedding altar," Jackie says. "Needless to say, the food was incredible." Check out more photos by FunkyTown Photography, below.
