A Romantic Wedding at Floridian Ballrooms and Banquet Halls in Pembroke Pines, Florida
Maria Estevez (30) and Juan Penna’s (36) romantic wedding had just the right amount of subtle vintage touches to complement it’s pink, ivory and gold color palette. “Our wedding style was a mix of classic and vintage. We were inspired by weddings we saw on The Knot and Pinterest,” says Maria. The day flowed throughout the Floridian Ballrooms and Banquet Halls with a sweet ceremony that included Maria’s daughter, a gold-accented ballroom reception and a shower of light in their sparkler exit. The team at Wild Flowers of Parkland helped to turn the couple’s inspiration from into their personalized gold and ivory reception decor. They created tall floating centerpieces topped with white hydrangeas, pink roses and purple roses for each round table as a gold “Mr. and Mrs.” sign on a bed of roses and hydrangeas defined Maria and Juan’s sweetheart table. For a personal touch, the couple added DIY pink rose accented in breakaway vases. Jodi Fjelde Photography was there to capture these pretty details and much more. One accent that many of Maria and Juan’s 114 guests enjoyed was a kids’ activity table. “We had a lot of children at the wedding. Sharing our special day with all of our family and friends, including their little ones, was always a must for both of us,” says Maria. The couple filled one family-style table with arts, crafts, games, puzzles and activities for the kids so their parents had time to dance and socialize. For future couples, Maria shares a tip: “Step back and enjoy the process. We can't control everything on our wedding day--despite our best efforts!”
