A Romantic Wedding at Stonehouse Villa in Driftwood, Texas

Rosalyn Kim (26 and an electrical engineer) and Christian Rojmar (28 and a financial analyst) met at Texas Tech University and clicked instantly. “Who would’ve thought a guy from Sweden and a girl from Central Texas would have anything in common?” says Rosalyn. Their friendship turned into more, and five years down the road, Christian proposed on top of Mount Bonnell in Austin, Texas. The couple got married 13 days later, a quick ceremony with a Justice of the Peace with the bride’s parents and a friend in attendance. Months later, the couple visited Christian’s family in Sweden and had an intimate ceremony at a viking church in Stockholm. It wasn’t until two years after their engagement that the couple could have their fairytale wedding with all of their family and friends. “They had been through such a journey with us and we wanted our third ceremony to be a big thank you and fun-filled celebration for our family and friends,” says Rosalyn. The couple had their vow renewal at Stonehouse Villa, a lush, Hill Country space in Driftwood, Texas, right outside of Austin. “Laid-back luxury is their mantra and the venue couldn’t have been a more perfect fit for our celebration,” says Rosalyn. Blush, gold, champagne, gray, lavender and hints of plum created an effortless air of romance. “I wanted our wedding to feel organic and graceful,” says the bride.Rosalyn and Christian enjoy surprising one another, but for their Austin vow renewal, Rosalyn prepared the ultimate surprise. Rosalyn flew in Christian’s family all the way from Sweden to attend their special day. The plan was that everyone went down the aisle and the officiant would queue the video Christian’s family sent over in lieu of their presence. According to Rosalyn: “Everyone was on the edge of their seats the whole time just waiting for the reveal and Christian’s reaction.” After the video, the violinist and cellist played "Turning Page," and out came Christian’s two brothers, their wives and Christian’s nephew. “The reaction was magical. His face and emotion represented how much I love him. It was complete bliss and surreal.”
