“We wanted a formal occasion that felt as carefree and fun-loving as we are,” AnnaLaura Cromwell (22 and a dance instructor and event stylist) says of her and Scott Erickson’s (26 and a youth program specialist) inviting autumn fete. After collaborating with a San Diego seamstress to design bespoke gowns for each of her 10 bridesmaids, AnnaLaura slipped into a trumpet-style dress, while Scott donned a burgundy tie and airplane socks in memory of his late father, who worked with planes. “Our style inspiration came from having a specific experience in mind for our friends and family,” AnnaLaura says. Foil-pressed invitations featured botanical envelope liners finished with a custom wax seal of the couple’s dog. Cocktail hour took place on the estate’s lawn and terrace, where guests mingled around cushy lounge vignettes and a cozy fire pit. Velvet runners and brass candlesticks juxtaposed the rustic look of wood farm tables. After cutting into a buttercream cake infused with fresh, hand-picked strawberries, the newlyweds treated partygoers to a savory mashed potato bar and a late-night spread of chicken sliders and s’mores.
