A Romantic, Whimsical Wedding at Minnekhada Lodge in British Columbia, Canada

Lisa Skinner (37, a Scientist) and Chris Louth (39, an IT Manager) met through an online dating site--fairly commonplace now, but not so much in 2004! After emailing for a week, the couple met for coffee at Starbucks and talked for thirteen hours straight (a wonderfully long first date!). In 2012, Lisa and Chris became the proud parents of twin boys, and later that year, at Christmas, Chris proposed. Although the couple currently resides in Boston, they decided to travel back home to Vancouver for their wedding, and held their ceremony and reception at Minnekhada Lodge, a place that held a special place in Chris's heart (his late father helped design the gardens). A fun touch to Lisa and Chris's wedding was their color palette of pink and gray, inspired by the color scheme in the video game Portal 2, which the couple loves to play together. Light pink was infused through the attire and flowers, and the cake itself was the gray cubes from the game!

Lisa wore light pink heels with a big girly bow at the top.
The couple loved playing video games together (before they had twins) so their cake was inspired by the video game Portal.
Chris wore a light pink tie to match the sash on Lisa's gown.
Lisa wore a strapless white dress with a cathedral length lace veil and a light pink sash.
The bridal bouquet was a soft mix of light pink and ivory peonies and hydrangeas.
The couple's twin boys escorted Lisa down the aisle wearing suspenders and carrying small pink bouquets.
Everyone enjoyed delicious burger sliders for dinner.
Blue macarons were served to guests for dessert.
A plate piled high with fresh pineapple, cantaloupe, raspberries, blueberries and strawberries were served at dinner.
