A Romantic, Whimsical Wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts
Jamie Jick (28 and works in fashion) and Matt Relle’s (27 and works in finance) wedding was all-out romance, elegance and whimsy. The couple met during their junior year of college while studying in London, England, and instantly hit it off. Six years later, Matt popped the question on a rooftop in Boston, Massachusetts, where they both grew up, as the sun began to set. Before long the New York-based couple began planning their unforgettable early-summer nuptials. Instead of gathering their friends and families in the Big Apple, the couple celebrated in style in their hometown, Boston. They quickly settled on the Four Seasons Hotel in the heart of downtown to host the affair, the venue’s understated elegance and fantastic location instantly winning the couple over. “Plus, we knew we’d be getting the best service possible, which kept our stress level down,” Jamie says. Working with Jodi Raphael Events and Original Touch’s Carol Silverston, the couple transformed the stately ballroom at the Four Seasons into a romantic scene, complete with warm candlelight, low and tall arrangements of full, cascading pink and ivory blooms, and cool, soft pink uplighting. Catering by Andrew delighted guests’ taste buds with an impressive spread of sushi, dumplings, small plates, passed hors d’oeuvres and a trio of delectable desserts, and the band District 21 rocked the house, keeping guests on the dance floor all night. The couple’s friends and family members even surprised them with a flash mob after dinner, a definite highlight of the evening. “We had been together for seven years by the time we got married, so for us it was amazing to be surrounded by friends, many of whom have known us for so long,” Jamie says. “That really made the day special.”
