A Romantic Winter Wedding at Stone Bridge Farms in Cullman, AL
Drawing on their wedding’s December date for inspiration, Lacee Doucette and Jacob McCurry planned an elegant wedding that paid tribute to the winter season. The couple chose the Stone Bridge Farm in Cullman, AL to host the affair, the all-inclusive venue offering a quaint, natural setting for the day. The festivities kicked off in the evening with a ceremony at the Chapel at Stone Bridge. Pillar candles and lanterns accented with seasonal greenery lined the aisles casting a warm glow across the room, creating an undeniably romantic and intimate atmosphere. A sprinkling of faux snow along the aisle played up the wintery theme. The couple went glam when it came to their wedding day fashion. Jacob and his groomsmen donned traditional black tuxedos, while Lacee decided to get a little edgy, opting for a Berta mermaid gown with a plunging neckline and sheer long sleeves. The bridesmaids’ dresses were all glitz, their floor-length gowns dripping in shimmering rose gold sequins. For the reception, Lacee and Jacob looked to their color palette of ivory, cream and gold to introduce an element of sophistication and elegance to the inviting, rustic reception hall, while centerpieces of snowy white hydrangeas, roses, pinecones and dusty miller added a wintery note to the decor. Playful touches were incorporated into the evening to balance the wedding’s classic feel, like a candy bar where guests could satisfy their sweet tooth, a non-traditional guest book and Jacob’s over-the-top groom’s cake, which paid tribute to his work as a lineman with the power company.
