A Romantic Winter Wedding at the Bridgeport Art Center in Chicago, Illinois
Colleen Bogue (28 and a production associate) and Matt Bogue (30 and works in software sales) celebrated their love in the wintery winds of downtown Chicago, Illinois, at Bridgeport Art Center. Colleen and Matt used the venue's space as their canvas to decorate the space with rustic decor. When the couple sent their wedding invitations, they added a small card to the invitation for anyone who has been married requesting their favorite photo from their wedding. Not knowing what the response would be like, their family and friends exceeded their expectations. "We received so many great photos, and we decorated the freight elevator at the reception space with all the photos," Colleen says. With a color scheme of blush pink and a variety of metallic colors, Event Creative transformed the ceremony and reception with their floral arrangements and decorations. Some arrangements were in vintage milk cartons, while others were in birch boxes. Different-size candles surrounded each centerpiece. "We were going for a very warm and romantic feeling, and Event Creative was able to execute flawlessly," Colleen says. While High Society Orchestra accompanied the reception with live music, mini desserts were on the menu, including mini churros, a variety of doughnut holes, mini cheesecake, creme brulee, seasonal berries and a "candy bar" with a whole bunch of penny?candy. A word from the bride: "We have so many wonderful examples of love in our life, and it was very special to be able to share that with all our guests," Colleen says.
