After a romantic Paris engagement, Sarah (26, a Commercial Interior Designer) and Darren (28, an Electrical Engineer) knew they wanted their wedding to be at a site where they could hold the ceremony and reception together in the same space. The couple decided on Heritage Park Historical Village in Calgary, specifically Gunn's Dairy Barn on the property. Inspired by the setting, the couple went with a rustic  theme with a yellow and gray color palette with mercury glass and burlap accents. After an intimate ceremony where the couple wrote their own vows, everyone headed downstairs to enjoy a prime rib buffet dinner. A fun touch? The order of the tables for the buffet was determined by a fun scavenger hunt, prepared by Sarah's Uncles! After dinner, everyone headed back upstairs for dancing.

Sarah's rustic bouquet was a mix of blue thistle, yellow billy balls, scabiosa pods, cotton and Baby's Breath.
Mercury glass candelabras were framed by rustic wreaths made of cotton, twigs, Baby's Breath and assorted greenery.
The bridesmaids wore gray one shoulder chiffon dresses with a yellow cardigan.
Sarah wore a fit and flare A-line dress with a sweetheart neckline, a silk top and a lace bottom layered with tulle. A faux fur shawl completed her winter look.
The couple held their ceremony at Gunn's Dairy Barn on the Heritage Park Historical Village grounds.
The couple hand wrote their own vows for their intimate, romantic ceremony.
Each table had a mason jar filled with yellow and gray M&M's, matching the color palette of the wedding.
The tables had crisp white tablecloths, gold chargers, burlap table runners and lit mercury glass candelabras.
The couple shared their first dance in the barn surrounded by family and friends.
