Freshly picked wildflowers, handcrafted stationery and simple, rustic decor gave Jocelyn and Daniel's wedding at Rodes Farm in Nellysford, Virginia a distinctly country vibe that played up the wedding's locale.

I really wanted local, seasonal blooms, says Jocelyn, so I had to pick everything at the last minute. We used greenery foraged by family, garden roses from Dan’s father, peonies from a neighbor and selected flowers two days before from a local flower farm, Pharsalia Farm. We had a lot of colorful snapdragons and larkspur, plus I ordered white stock, baby’s breath, waxflowers and Salal greens in bulk from the grocery store. With the help of my bridesmaids, we arranged all the bouquets!
All of the wedding's stationery was watercolored and calligraphed by the bride herself and the printed locally at T & N printing in Charlottesville.
The barn at Rodes Farm was the perfect backdrop for the couple's relaxed rustic affair.
We chose Albemarle Baking Company’s vanilla cake with bavarian cream filling and buttercream frosting. We didn’t want any fondant on top and it was cool enough to go without. Two of my bridesmaids, Gwen and Mary, decorated the cake with blueberries and sprigs of mint, says Jocelyn.
Each place card was handcalligraphed and painted by Jocelyn herself.
Daniel's cornflower boutonniere perfectly matched the color of his tie.
The couple kept the table tops simple, adding pops of color with brightly patterned napkins.
For her flower girls, Jocelyn chose a dress they'd both be able to wear again, a casual blue and pink floral style, which they paired with a simple white ribbon and baby's breath flower crown.
Before kicking off the reception festivities, Jocelyn and Daniel exchanged vows in a traditional church ceremony.
Jocelyn arranged bunches of bright pink and white flowers in mason jars for each table.
The dinner menu was written on a chalkboard surrounded by baskets of seasonal flowers.
The couple kept their wedding party's look simple with the groomsmen wearing navy trousers, white shirts and vests and the girls in simple cocktail dresses in various shades of blue.
