A Rustic Blue Wedding at Burke Manor Inn in Gibsonville, North Carolina

University of North Carolina—and its Carolina blue—inspired Meredith Wilkins (27 and a banker) and Tyler Baldwin’s (27 and a law-enforcement agent) rustic wedding. The one-tier wedding cake even had a UNC Old Well topper! For quintessential southern elegance, they chose the historic Burke Manor Inn in Gibsonville, North Carolina, as the place for their nuptials. “We loved the fact that the ceremony and reception would be at the same location but still in separate areas,” Meredith says. “They have their own restaurant, Saint Jacques, that did on-site catering, and they already had a reputation for good food. They were a huge help in the planning process and making sure our day went accordingly.” Since the garden space for the ceremony and the pavilion for the reception were naturally gorgeous, the couple kept their decor to a minimum. However, Stai Back Florist added a little romance to the space with lush floral arrangements including blue hydrangeas and champagne roses that reflected the color palette. Our favorite detail, though, was Meredith’s stunning Oleg Cassini trumpet lace wedding dress. The buttons up the back and the slight beige tint were perfect for her wedding. See all the wonderful elements, beautifully captured by Michelle Robinson Photography, below. A tip for the taking from Meredith: “My advice would be to enjoy it! Don't get caught up in the details. At the end of the day you're married, and that's the point.”
