A Rustic, Bohemian Wedding at Nostrano Vineyards in Milton, New York
Maddie and Ernesto describe their vineyard wedding as "moody boho-chic." They took advantage of their Labor Day weekend date to incorporate fall-inspired decorations, along with a color palette of green, white, blush pink, black, gray, copper and gold. Maddie stunned in a bohemian dress with an intricate design and V-neckline. She wore a flower crown of greenery and carried a bouquet of anemones (her all-time favorite flower), roses, pink ranunculus and a variety of greenery including thistles, dusty miller and eucalyptus. In lieu of a veil, "I found the most amazing tulle wings and had them attached to both straps of my dress. It really made me feel almost fairy-like and ethereal," Maddie says. Ernesto, as a member of the US Army, sported his military mess uniform for the day. The ceremony took place beneath a willow tree on the vineyard's property, with the couple standing below a copper arch overlooking rolling hills. "Ernesto and I both agreed we wanted to see each other for the first time during our ceremony. I cried basically the entire way down the aisle, and when I saw his face, it took a lot of strength not to sob uncontrollably," Maddie says. For the reception, which took place inside a rustic barn, the couple relied on wood tables with simple centerpieces and green runners. String lights and hanging arrangements of greenery added to the intimacy—and so did the fog that rolled into the venue during the couple’s traditional first dance.
