A Rustic Canary Yellow Wedding at Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge, Colorado
Jessica Portaro (30 and works in finance) and Phil Ruiz (31 and works in healthcare) met at Lodo’s Bar and Grill in downtown Denver on St. Patrick’s Day. For the wedding, the couple chose Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge, Colorado. They loved the idea of having all their family and friends out of the city and in the mountains for a weekend getaway. Plus, Jessica is a Colorado native and Phil lived there the majority of his life. They wanted their location to feel very Colorado. They used canary yellow and gray as their main colors for a bright pop of color and fun vibe. They added rustic details such as the custom-made wooden escort card frames and the chalkboard-inspired place settings to match the mountain venue. Cocktail hour was filled with sunshine, drinks and food (as it should be) including prosciutto wrapped shrimp and prime rib with potatoes. One of the couple’s favorite parts was the photo booth at the reception where guest could play with props and take fun pictures together.
