A Rustic-Chic Terrace Wedding at The St. Regis Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia

After Chris Beam (40 and in sales) set up a profile on Match.com as a dare, he decided to message Marc Levinson's (43 and in consulting). "What's up, man?" is all it took and the pair quickly connected. "Because we’re a same-sex couple, there are really no rules on how to get engaged—which made it fun to try and surprise each other with each other’s proposal!" says the Chris. Marc popped the question at Piedmont Park with a deck of 100 cards that each had a reason why he loved Chris and was later surprised when Chris proposed back in a hotel courtyard. Instead of a traditional wedding, the couple decided to plan an outdoor dinner celebration at The St. Regis Atlanta with close family and friends. " When we saw the Grand Terrace at The St. Regis, we knew that it was the place—it looked like we had been transported to another country yet, in the heart of Atlanta." Chris and Marc brought in farm tables and custom trellises with Edison lights as well as high-back sofas for multiple seating areas. Each guest was greeted with a waiter passing glasses of champagne garnished with a fresh blackberry and low hydrangea centerpieces with pops of moss, billy balls and succulents lined the exposed farm tables. "We knew we wanted to have a casual event while still maintaining a certain level of high style," says Chris. Throughout the cocktail hour, dinner and dessert, Brandon Croker entertained guests with acoustic guitar covers of the couple's favorite songs. "We were lucky enough to work with some of Atlanta’s best and really respect all of the hard work and energy that went into our special night," says Chris.
