A Rustic-Chic Wedding at Historic Shady Lane in Manchester, Pennsylvania

What do you get when an interior designer and an architect get married? A gorgeous wedding! Courtney Parfitt (27 and an interior designer) and Andrew Cerjanic (28 and an architect) had a rustic fall wedding with tons of inspiring DIY details. To set the rustic tone, Courntey and Drew got married at Historic Shady Lane, an estate in Manchester, Pennsylvania, that was converted into an event venue with plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the crisp fall weather. "It was the first and only venue we visited," Courtney says. Courtney and Drew chose a neutral palette for their fall wedding. "I wanted to keep the colors on the trees, so we kept everything else neutral," Courtney says. "Everything was very woodsy and rustic." The only splashes of color in their decor were the vibrant bouquets made up of sunflowers, chrysanthemums, roses and eucalyptus leaves. DIY details started with the invitations, which Courtney and Drew made using sheets of birch wood. At the beer-fest-themed cocktail hour, guests had six types of beer brewed by Drew. And for the guest book, the couple designed eight post cards for guests to write their warm wishes on. After the wedding, Courtney and Drew had their aunt send them a couple of postcards a week so that they could relive all the special moments from their beautiful wedding. Aesthetic Life Studio captured all the stunning details from the day.
