A Rustic, Coral Barn Wedding at Mustard Seed Gardens in Noblesville, Indiana

For Renee Mercier (28 and a social worker) and Nathan Day (28 and an entrepreneur), their wedding style mixed their favorite things with the resourcefulness of loved ones. "Instead of using Pinterest to plan our wedding, we tried sticking with colors and styles we loved while using the help of our family and friends," Renee says. "Our color scheme and style was a mix of our favorites: coral, navy, gold and nude tones with an overall rustic and classy feel." The couple selected Mustard Seed Gardens in Noblesville, Indiana, as their ceremony and reception location—popular for its charmingly rustic venue, the Olde Barn. "It's one of our favorite Indianapolis venues," Renee says. "We love the beautiful lush grounds. The outdoor ceremony area is serene and simple, while the reception completely fit in with Nathan’s barn-loving heart, and I happened to love it too." Renee wore a mermaid-style dress from One Fine Day bridal boutique. Nathan coordinated in a navy suit and coral bow tie, a perfect nod to their wedding colors. For other elements of the wedding—including the flowers, invitations, ceremony music, makeup and hair—Renee and Nathan relied on close family and friends. "Truly, our wedding style was special because of everyone who helped," Renee says. We adored their peony-focused bouquets and flower arrangements, all created by Union Street Flowers. The combination of pink peonies, roses and hypericum berries provided a perfect pop of color for centerpieces, aisle decoration and bouquets. Our overall favorite touch? As a thoughtful alternative to guest gifts, Renee and Nathan and their parents donated money for three new classrooms in a village of Haiti. "The classrooms are a dire need for these children and are in the process of being built now," Renee says. "Nathan and I hope to visit them someday." Her advice for couples planning their wedding? "Invest in your favorite photographer and videographer. We highly recommend ours. The day is a blur and you will cherish your pictures and wedding video." The entire celebration was beautifully captured by Sarah and Rachel Wedding Photographers, with more photos below.
