Jackie Newton 28 and a doctor) and Sarah Schaeffer (32 and a doctor) met while they were scheduled to work for three weeks together at their office. Jackie was a medical resident and Sarah was a medical intern at the time, and quickly established a friendship outside of work. They discovered they lived in the same apartment complex, had the same public health degree and even resembled each other through their thick rimmed and short black hair! Sarah had a ring and planned to propose to Jackie, but little did she know that Jackie had done the same and planned on asking the night before. Sarah walked up to their rooftop to see lights, flowers and a mini dance floor set up while music played in the background. Jackie surprised Sarah as she got down on one knee, and shortly after Jackie was able to do the same for Sarah. The couple wanted to have a rustic, country wedding with breathtaking views, so they booked Brasada Ranch in Power Butte, Oregon. The venue had the mountainous backdrop that Jackie and Sarah were hoping for, along with a rustic barn for the reception and heated pool for guests to enjoy. Jackie and Sarah wanted to keep their wedding attire simple, so Jackie wore a simple ivory dress while Sarah wore an ivory shorter dress with comfortable cowboy boots. The flowers and linens accenting the venue decorated in a color palette of blue, sage and orange with accents of burlap. Instead of having a traditional wedding cake, an assortment of chocolate chip cookies and panna cotta for guests to enjoy.

Jackie chose the dress on the left, which was a simple strapless ivory wedding dress. Sarah picked a short ivory dress that she purchased from a department store.
Jackie and Sarah both wore cowboy boots in different shades of brown, which were placed next to an ivory and pink bouquet.

The reception was held inside the barn at Brasada Ranch. White paper lanterns hung above long wood dining tables with brown draped table runners.
Wood dining tables were decorated with small plant and flower centerpieces down the middle.
Green and pink arrangements filled green painted mason jars and served as table centerpieces.
Green plant leaves accented with berries were placed in green painted mason jars for centerpieces.
Lights were strung above the reception space outside of the barn at Brasada Ranch.
The married couple had their first dance to a live version performed by their friends of "Honey Bee" by Blake Shelton, which is one of Sarah's favorite songs.
