The Bride Rupal Parekh, 31, a reporter and editor at Advertising Age The Groom Matt Creamer, 34, a freelance writer, editor and consultant The Date June 4 Rupal and Matt actually had two outdoor ceremonies (a Hindu and a Catholic ceremony) followed by an indoor ballroom reception. Their style? The day was modern and elegant with rustic, outdoorsy accents.

The ballroom, with an elegant tented ceiling, panoramic view and existing chandeliers, needed little extra décor.
The couple had these dandiya sticks for guests to take at the reception (they’re usually held during traditional dancing).
Rattan fans were placed on the ceremony seats, along with the programs, to keep guests cool.
For the Hindu ceremony, Matt wore a traditional Indian sherwani from Mumbai.
Green bengaline linens topped the tables for a fresh look, while birch bark planters holding irises and white tulips brought a bit of the lakeside location inside.
For her white gown, Rupal wore a Sue Wong dress with added satin cap sleeves. Matt chose a navy-blue suit and a pink Hermès tie.
Bright green pomanders (made out of mums) hanging from manzanita branches were part of the Catholic ceremony’s nature-inspired décor.
Red roses and yellow spider mums decorated the ceremony chairs.
Rupal carried a cascading bouquet of peonies, roses and hanging amaranthus.
Gold-embellished sandals were perfect for the Indian nuptials.
The simple, tall ceremony programs featured a dark-purple hydrangea and a modern typeface.
Both ceremonies took place outside facing the water. For the Indian ceremony, the couple stood beneath a sparkly, gold-draped canopy (called a mandap).
A geometric lace overlay made Rupal’s dress stunning.
The bridesmaids carried an all-green mix of hydrangeas, spider mums and bells of Ireland.
Rupal had henna tattoos, the sign of a new Indian bride, painted on her palms
