A Rustic, Elegant Lakeside Wedding at Ellison Community Hall in Kelowna, British Columbia

Alex Garrioch (25 and a photographer) and Brent Nielson (31 and a telecommunicator) pride themselves on being an outdoor couple, enjoying their time outdoors camping, kayaking and hiking. Their easygoing, outdoorsy attitude influenced the look and location of their wedding, with a ceremony overlooking Kalamalka Lake in Oyama, British Columbia, surrounded by willow trees, and a reception at Ellison Community Hall in Kelowna, British Columbia—an old, converted schoolhouse surrounded by farms. Alex loves the color blue and used different shades of light blues, greens and mint throughout the decor, like with the Tiffany blue tablecloths with a white flower-petal overlay, giving the rustic decor an elegant touch.
