A Rustic, Elegant Wedding at Sundance Resort in Sundance, Utah

Nothing says Utah like bringing romantic elegance to a natural, rustic setting, and that’s exactly how the wedding of Claire Abell (31 and an interior designer) and Nate Fletcher (34 and a health care sales professional) unfolded. Claire grew up vacationing at Sundance Resort, and with the venue’s pretty wooden buildings and breathtaking views of mountainous Sundance, Utah, she knew it would be a beautiful destination to gather friends and family for the winter celebration. The day began with a heartfelt ceremony in the Redford Center, which Claire and Nate filled with ethereal details, including draping, garlands and tons of candles to soften the wooden barn-like building. Later, guests mingled indoors and outdoors during a cocktail hour with views of Mount Timpanogos before entering the Rehearsal Hall for dinner and dancing. Michelle Leo Events helped Claire and Nate bring glam to the rustic room with myriad gold and rose gold details and an abundance of candles and centerpieces in blush, burgundy, ivory and soft yellows. Blooms and Blossoms styled garden-like florals, with a garland draped over the sides of the head table and centerpieces full of colors, shapes and textures overflowing their vessels on each table. A standout detail? Since Claire and Nate love to travel and had a destination wedding, they had a canvas world map where their guests could pin where they traveled from or their best travel advice for the future. (The map is now a decoration in their home.) See the prettiness below, captured by Rebekah Westover Photography.
