A Rustic, Fall Wedding at Mount Gretna in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Victoria Griffin (27 and a nurse) and Tim McKenna (35 and owner of GameFace Tutoring) met while playing in a co-ed touch football tournament Memorial Day weekend in 2010. With an instant connection, they began dating almost immediately and three years later became engaged! Located in Mount Gretna, Pennsylvania, Vicki and Tim's wedding was a semi-destination wedding. It is very special to Tim and his family - his father had been vacationing there with his family ever since he was a kid. The couple couldn't think of a better place to have their families come together. With a rustic inspired wedding, the color palette consisted of lavender/plum, light blue and brown with accents of gray seen in the groomsmen's suits. With no fresh flower bouquets, Vicki and her bridesmaids carried handmade lavender and light blue clutches. The boutonnieres were made by Vicki's Maid of Honor with guitar picks, twine and floral balls to highlight Tim and some of the groomsmen who played in a band together. Cocktail hour was complete with a custom corn hole board that Vicki painted and a photo booth from BG Productions Photography and Videography. The reception started off with a bang with a Dub-Step Mother/Son surprise dance. Entertainment was provided by No Macarena and DJ, Josh, who perfectly incorporated 90's throwbacks and other requests into the wedding. The reception dinner was a buffet, but the highlight was the s'mores bar that stood in place of the cake. A unique aspect to the reception were the guests hula hooping instead of clinking glasses. The newlyweds ended the night with a McKenna family "Iko Iko" dance from the video game "Just Dance". "Make sure that you do what you want to do! It's your special day, so make it your own," says Vicki.
