Ashleigh Keegan (27 and a radiologic technologist) and Justin Keegan (27 and a retired member of the US military and a general laborer) were high school sweethearts."We started dating when he asked me to our junior prom," Ashleigh says. "It took us 10 years to get married, but we finally got here. We got engaged Christmas Day in 2013. It was just the two of us, and he got up and came back with a little bag and handed it to me. I opened it and he said, 'So, should we?' It sounds silly but it's totally us and I would not have wanted it to happen any other way. The ring was beautiful -- a simple diamond in the middle." The couple planned to have their wedding in their hometown of Elk Point, South Dakota. "We wanted everything to be local because we are both from Elk Point and so are the majority of our guests," Ashleigh says.

Ashleigh and Justin's program ceremonies kept with their rustic theme and had a wooden background printed on paper.
"We wanted a casual/rustic theme and it turned out perfect," Ashleigh says. "We both love the fall color schemes -- and I love burlap! -- so that was really easy. We told the florist [Dave with Petal Pusher] what we were going for, and he put together so many beautiful arrangements for us."
"The pews at the church were lined with burlap and baby's breath -- very simple, but beautiful," Ashleigh says.
"We had our wedding in our hometown [Elk Point, South Dakota] at Immanuel Lutheran Church and the reception at The Pointe [the country club in town]," Ashleigh says.
"The bridesmaids wore knee-length maroon colored dresses by D'Zage," Ashleigh says. They also carried bright, rustic bridesmaid bouquets.
"For dessert we went with different kinds of cupcakes," Ashleigh says. "I absolutely loved this because there were many options for people."
Like their rustic fall wedding florals, Ashleigh and Justin's wedding cake topper had a similar flower arrangement accented with pretty burlap bows. Each cupcake also had an edible leaf decoration.
"We decided to have a candy bar with all different types of candy, especially the favorite fall candies, like candy corn, caramel apple suckers, caramel cubes and fall-wrapped mini candy bars," Ashleigh says.
