Amy Deneselya, 29, a ceramic artist, and J.D. Romero, 31, a management consultant, met at one of J.D.'s shows when they played in Cleveland, Ohio and continued their relationship from there. The couple got engaged on the day Amy turned 28, and J.D. proposed with a round cut white sapphire ring picked out by Amy from GNGJewel Etsy shop. Although they had been living in Chicago, Illinois, the couple wanted to have a "destination wedding" and an untraditional celebration filled with DIY projects. When the couple came across the Barn at Fallingwater in Mill Run, Pennsylvania, they immediately knew it was the simple yet unique enough venue they had been searching for. "We were so in love with the setting of the venue already that we didn't want to take away from its charm, so we liked the idea of bringing natural elements into our decorations," says Amy. Amy and J.D. hired a florist to decorate their wedding with simple touches of moss, fern, and succulents, throwing the occasional antlers into the mix. The accents of wood incorporated into the natural environment gave the wedding a rustic vibe, with built-in wooden benches at the ceremony, planks of wood supporting the centerpieces, and the surrounding wooded area at large.

Amy's engagement ring from GNGJewel Etsy shop was placed in between the bride and groom's wedding rings. The bride purchased her wedding band at Bario Neal Jewelers, while the groom got his band at Giovar Jewelers.

The head table at the reception had centerpieces assorted with pink and red flowers around two large candelabras, accented with fern and moss.

A single fern in a clear vase surrounded by succulents, antlers, and candles on top of a slab of wood was the centerpiece for guest tables at the wedding reception. A white table number card was positioned in front.
Circular White and Gold Paper Decorations
The menu for the night was handwritten on an old white window panel purchased at the Rebuilding Exchange in Chicago.
For wedding favors, guests selected a brown paper bag stamped with "Thank You" and filled it up with a variety of five different types of candy in glass jars.
