A Rustic Farm Wedding at a Private Residence in Moultrie, Georgia
With a color palette of blush pink, white and ivory, Erin Jackson (24 and an aesthetician) and Chris Jennings' (27 and a welder) rustic farm wedding was a romantic soiree. Erin's sister and brother-in-law graciously offered to host the wedding at their barn in Moultrie, Georgia. The couple wanted a venue they could return to whenever they wanted, and what better place than a location that belongs to family? With peanut, cotton and wheat fields overlooking a pond as the backdrop, Erin and Chris said their vows at sunset and tied the knot surrounded by their closest friends and family. Chris couldn't stop his tears of happiness as he watched his bride walk down the aisle to "Marry Me" by Train in her white strapless wedding gown. We absolutely loved her intricate jeweled lace corset bodice with a huge ruffled skirt and train. She was a Cinderella vision! What tied the entire look together were the teardrop earrings Erin picked out. "I chose to not wear too much jewelry because I did not want to take away from my dress," Erin says. The reception decor brought a personal touch to the family barn. Erin and Chris made wooden signs for the reception, telling their guests about the two signature drinks, Blushing Bride (made with vodka and pink lemonade) and Alter-ed State of Mind (Jack Daniel's and Coke). They also used wooden palettes to handwrite the menu of barbecue goodness. "It was so amazing having everyone we loved under one roof," Erin says.
