A Rustic Garden Wedding at the Franciscan Gardens in San Juan Capistrano, California
Amee Zandi (25 and a business anaylist) and Chris Sheldon met in June 2010 while volunteering at the Baha’i World Centre located in Haifa, Israel. After deciding that they had the qualities necessary to be married, in 2013, they began shopping for wedding rings. The local jeweler in Chris' hometown Grand Junction, Colorado found a special ring from 1875, describing to the couple that he purchased it from an estate sale of an immigrant family from Europe who came to the US and made it big, so they decided to sell their estate and give everything to charity. Lucky for Amee because she fell in love with the ring immediately. Chris and Amee are very nature-oriented people, which made Franciscan Gardens in San Juan Capistrano, California a perfect destination venue for their friends and family. Because of their geographically widespread family, Amee and Chris decided against having a wedding party, and it worked in their favor. Wanting to keep everything easy-going, the couple chose simple flower arrangements of succulents, roses, and hydrangeas. Amee did not have stationary in an effort to be “green”, so her sister designed the programs with a sketch of a beautiful tree. With an immense love of Mexican food, Amee and Chris's dinner was build your own fajitas/tacos and with delicious Mexican sides like beans, rice and salsa and tortilla chips! They had a full hot drink and cold drink beverage bar, but no alcohol was served due to religious beliefs, which did not stop the party! With a light green, cr?me, and purple macaroon tower from a local gourmet French pastry shop as an alternative wedding cake, the guests would not leave wanting for anything. The night ended with twinkle lights surrounding the couple in a magical atmosphere with their family and friends.
