A Rustic Garden Wedding at the Grove in Sanger, California

Long before she started dating Jorge Escovedo (23 and a bartender) in high school, Danielle Ramirez (24 and a student) knew that one day she would get married outdoors. So after Jorge popped the question six years later, they began looking at outdoor wedding venues. "We attended a wedding at the Grove and we kept comparing every venue to the one we went to there. We loved the barn outside, the lights draped throughout the trees and the huge willow tree where we would exchange vows," Danielle says. "It was perfect to us." After settling on their location, Danielle and Jorge brought their rustic-chic theme to life, with plenty of DIY projects using wood, pearls, lace, mason jars, burlap and a color scheme of soft pink and ivory. Textured floral arrangements of David Austen roses, baby's breath, dusty miller and anemones provided the perfect final touch to their romantic spring day. Advice from Danielle: "Give yourself plenty of time. If you need six months to plan a wedding, awesome! But if you need 16 for whatever reason—even if everyone around you is telling you that's too long—take the time you need. Don't forget this is your wedding day, and your dreams for that day are most important." —Meghan Overdeep
