A Rustic Garden Wedding at the Vintage Estate in Yountville, California
With charming country touches and a palette of soft ivory, sage and peach, Jessica Fung (27 and works in technology sales) and Brent Schoeb’s (34 and works in sports business) wedding was the epitome of garden chic. The pair planned an intimate celebration at the Vintage Estate in Yountville, California, the heart of wine country, where perfectly manicured gardens and a vine-covered estate provided a striking backdrop for the al fresco affair. “We chose this venue for its versatility, natural beauty and French country flair,” Jessica says.
The couple and their guests gathered in the Vintage Estate’s picturesque garden for the ceremony, where Jessica and Brent exchanged vows under an elegant veranda framed by a stately stone wall. A quaint brick path served as the ceremony aisle, with rose-trimmed rows of white chairs flanking both sides. Guests kept cool in the late-summer sun with playful parasols provided by the bride and groom. After the “I dos,” the newlyweds whisked guests off to the terrace for Moscow Mules and a spread of decadent appetizers. Cocktail tables were trimmed with airy white linens that billowed in the gentle breeze and terra-cotta pots filled with moss and olive leaves. The Provencal aesthetic continued into the reception, with farmhouse tables and French country chairs dotting the Vintage Estate’s secluded courtyard. Lush bunches of dahlias, hydrangeas and roses in mercury-glass vases lent the decor a romantic English garden feel, while strands of bistro lights and ivory candles in hobnail holders infused the outdoor space with with a warm, inviting ambiance. After their first dance to Green River Ordinance’s “Dancing Shoes,” Jessica and Brent invited guests onto the dance floor, where they brought down the house well past dusk. “Planning our wedding was such a fun experience, and we thank everyone who helped make our day one to remember,” Jessica says. —Libby MacCarthy
