A Rustic-Glam Barn Wedding at Olympia's Valley Estate in Petaluma, California

What better place to create a welcoming, natural vibe for a wedding than in the comfort of a backyard—especially like this one, on the family-run Olympia's Valley Estate property in Petaluma, California, owned by Lydia Hansen (23 and owner of Olympia's Valley) and Brandon Hansen (23 and a police officer) themselves. "Brandon and I live in the Victorian farmhouse on the property—we always knew it would be where we would marry," Lydia says. "The venue is a farmstead with a ceremony site overlooking a pond and surrounded by weeping willows, and the reception area in the 150-year-old restored barn." The romantic, rustic-glam style had shades of white with pops of gold coloring the venue space, blending beautifully with the natural green foliage and surrounding wooden details. Lydia's bridal bouquet filled with pure white peonies went well with her romantic dress—an off-the-shoulder white J. Mendel gown with a sweetheart neckline and a mermaid-style silhouette. Inside the rustic barn, white linens and string lights draped across the wooden beams above long, wooden dining tables. Each setting had a golden elephant figurine positioned in front of a white and gold escort card, matching the gold and white plates that contributed to the elegant display. We loved the vintage white-bus photo booth for friends and family to goof off in and snap plenty of photographic memories throughout the evening. "I think guests really loved hanging out under the stars in the vintage lounge outside the barn, then hopping in the booth bus for some silly pictures," Lydia says.
