Colleen Guidry (20 and a hair stylist) and Zachary Cashio (21 and an administrative assistant) were introduced through a mutual friend that Colleen knew through cosmetology school. The two hit it off instantly and not long after, Zachary sent a bouquet of flowers to Colleen's school that said "Lets cut to the chase, will you be my girlfriend?" The word "cut" was a picture of cutting shears. From then on the they were inseparable, enduring everything from a big move across the pond and life-changing illness. After several years together, Zachary proposed to Colleen at their home in Heber Springs, AR, presenting her with a pear shaped diamond ring with two side stones. For their wedding, the couple planned an outdoor affair at Colleen's family home in Drasco, AR, which offered beautiful lake views in an intimate setting. "I wanted the lake to be the main focus of our wedding, so I tried to choose decor that would complement the setting rather than overpower or detract from it," says Colleen. She and Zachary opted for an understated palette of neutral tones and incorporated organic touches like moss into the decor to achieve the rustic aesthetic they were after.

Whimsical Navy and White Wedding Invitations
"I didn't want to have the stress associated with going to pick out a wedding dress, so I decided to order one online from BHLDN instead," says Colleen. She chose an airy chiffon gown in an A-line style with delicate lace sleeves and sheer back.
To keep her feet comfy, while still getting a boost, Colleen opted for blush peep-toe wedges with rhinestone-studded heels.
For a romantic, summery vibe, Colleen's bouquet was filled with lush full blooms like garden roses, peonies and ranunculuses in shades of pink, peach and ivory.
Colleen decided against wearing a veil for the ceremony, opting instead for a pretty headpiece with crystal and beaded embellishments.
Zachary added a fresh touch to his khaki colored vest with a boutonniere made from roses, peonies and bright green succulents.
The couple exchanged vows in an outdoor ceremony overlooking the lake. A handcrafted wooden cross decorated with lush floral arrangements created the backdrop for the intimate affair.
Playing up the wedding's rustic theme, the couple topped the reception tables with wood slice chargers and lengths of earthy moss.
Guests enjoyed the breathtaking lake views while they nibbled on comfort foods like hot wings, fish 'n chips and shrimp.
Zachary's love of sports inspired his groom's cake. Cream colored fondant was designed to look like a baseball and the cake was topped with a Louisiana State University football cake topper.
For dessert, Colleen and Zachary opted for a naked cake, decorated to the nines with fresh fruit and bright pink blooms.
