Christin Verkaik (29, a Graphic Designer) and Eben Smith (29, a US Navy Electrician) held their gorgeous summertime wedding at Camp Roosevelt in Maine, Eben's home state. "It was very important to have his entire family attend," Christin explains. Camp Roosevelt's rustic, mountain location inspired the theme for the wedding: "I really fell in love with the simple, elegant and functional Maine style of architecture and interior design, so our wedding style followed suit. I concentrated on lighting--we strung Edison lights all over the venue and placed several oil lamps made from high-end liquor bottles on every table," Christin says. A color palette of dark navy with yellows and golds helped bring out the rustic elegance of the wedding theme. After dinner, Eben's family friends performed bluegrass music for everyone. "Bluegrass music was a major part of Eben's upbringing, so we wanted to incorporate as much of it as possible throughout the ceremony and reception," Christin says.

Christin wore a lovely V-neck wedding dress with a retro lace style.
Christin's son wore a classic sailor's uniform, a nod to Eben's Navy service.
The couple's adorable dachshund was part of the ceremony and reception.
The groomsmen wore classic black tie tuxedos, while Eben wore his US Enlisted Navy tuxedo.
The bridesmaids wore floor length navy blue dresses.
A small arrangement of yellow and white wildflowers added a charming, rustic touch to the centerpiece decor.
