A Rustic Mountain Wedding at Chautauqua Park in Boulder, Colorado

Cassie Edwards (25 and a neonatal ICU nurse) and Brent Sear (27 and a pharmacist) chose Chautauqua Park in Boulder, Colorado, for their charming nuptials, and it’s no wonder why. “We fell in love with the location when we moved to Colorado and had brunch on the quaint wraparound porch at Chautauqua Dining Hall,” Cassie says. “From the porch, we soaked in the charm of Chautauqua Park—the beautiful view of the Flatiron Mountains and the history of the dining hall. We knew this was where we wanted to start our lives together.” With the help of wedding planner Leah Colby from La Dolce Events, they chose a light palette of blush, green and ivory and completed the look with rustic details such as the textured florals, chalkboard table numbers and lantern centerpieces to complement the stunning location. Since Brent and Cassie spend their weekends exploring trails and backpacking in the mountains, they wanted to incorporate their love for the outdoors throughout the details. Florist Lisa from Sturtz & Copeland definitely got it right with the stunning florals, including wildflowers, kiwifruit vines and peonies. One of our favorite parts was the awesome swing band, Joe Smith and the Spicy Pickles, for the reception. “We both have a passion for jazz, and they were an absolute blast,” Cassie says. Cassie and Brent also incorporated ultra-local touches with the welcome bags, which included Boulder Canyon potato chips and Justin’s peanut butter cups, since they’re both made in the Centennial State.
