A Rustic, Nautical Barn Wedding at Pembrook Farms in Woodbine, New Jersey

Katelyn Honeyford (28 and a physical therapist) and Matt Brady (28 and an internal account executive) met during their freshman year at George Washington University. It was not until two years later that they would meet again, and Matt would finally ask Katelyn out on a date. In September 2012, Matt was ready to marry Katelyn. After extensive planning and clever maneuvering, Matt was able to find out what kind of ring Katelyn wanted with the help of her sister Kelsey. On December 1, 2012, Katelyn and Matt had dinner at a local restaurant in Hoboken, New Jersey. Afterwards, Matt encouraged Katelyn to take a walk uptown to see a stranded boat on the pier due to the effects of Sandy. Finally alone, Matt proposed and received an obvious yes! Both knowing they wanted more than just a banquet hall wedding, Pembrook Farms was the perfect place for them. With an outdoor ceremony in their sights with a barn to fulfill their rustic theme, Katelyn and Matt couldn't wait for their wedding. Katelyn had always loved the combination of navy blue and orange, so that color palette was seen through the bridesmaid dresses and the bridal party bouquets. The decor of the reception consisted of mason jars, wildflower centerpiece arrangements, and wine bottles placed on the tables. Unique aspects of the wedding were the Cigar and S'Mores Bars provided during the cocktail hour and reception with the addition of backyard games such as corn hole, ladder golf, and horseshoes. "One special moment was when I had my dad's friend who plays bag pipes play as soon as Matt and I were announced husband and wife at the end of the ceremony," says Katelyn.
