Chantal Vautour (29 and a police officer) and Josh Matthies (30 and a police officer) are outdoorsy people who wanted an outdoorsy wedding. The ceremony took place outdoors in Coronation Park in Edmonton, Alberta. A giant tree stood behind the couple as they exchanged vows. "It was so beautiful that there was no need for any decorations," Chantal says. For the reception at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Red Deer South, the couple went with a combo theme of rustic and modern. "We had a lot of stuff made from old barn wood, but also had modern-style backdrops and tablecloths," Chantal says. "It all went together perfectly." Chantal wore her dream dress, a Maggie Sottero gown with a sweetheart neckline, fitted waist and a ruffled, full skirt. The bridesmaids wore one-shoulder teal dresses that matched the teal ties the groomsmen wore with their suits. At the end of the night, the couple gave away jars of homemade raspberry and blueberry made by Chantal's mother. Check out more photos by Twitchy Finger Photography, below.

The flower escorted Josh's nephew down the aisle during the ceremony. Josh's nephew carried a small heart sign that said "Uncle Josh, Here Comes Your Bride."
A custom cake topper of the bride and groom holding guns (since they're both police officers) stood atop a two-tier white cutting cake. The guests enjoyed delicious cupcakes.
The couple walked underneath a saber arch held up by Canadian Mounties in full uniform.
